I am a true believer in this hair mask. My 4C hair is natural & color treated, therefore, I have issues with breakage. I discovered this mask a few years ago & haven’t stopped using it. At first I thought it was making my hair strong but dry, but once I do some research on the website, I realized I need to use another non protein/hydrating conditioner right after. This has been my routine & my hair is healthy & strong with no breakage. I have to trim my hair to get rid of the frizzy ends, which is quite normal. 🥰

After experiencing some heat damage, I won't say it made a dramatic difference to my damage compared to a stronger product. However, I will say it helped contribute to the return of my unhappy curls and coils. After using it to help bring my hair back to life, I start using it every two weeks aside from my moisturizing deep conditioner. The first time I used this conditioner, it left my hair soft, healthy, and with a magnificent smell. Now as my coils and curls continue to lengthen and widen (my afro), it is helping with my detangling, shedding and stretching process to support my hair growth. As a fine haired natural who is low porosity, there isn't much guidance out there for us. I brought almost every shescentit deep conditioner thinking they would be the answer to my hair problems. This has great slip and I would probably give it an extra star if it was a regular conditioner. That's the way I have been using it or mixing it with another heavier deep treatment mask. It adds some softness to my hair, but I get better results with other deep treatments.

This hair mask has been a necessary part of me and my daughters hair regimen. We use it every other week and it has kept our hair strong and healthy. Will continue to use.

Thus hair mask helped a little with my breakage and dryness I was experiencing from using grease on my hair. First, I washed with a Clarifying shampoo and deep conditioned with this product for 45 minutes without heat. Rinsed and my curls looked more defined than what it usually would look like after deep conditioning with other products. I may try to use it weekly only this time I'll use it with heat. Nice hair mask.

This is a great protein conditioner that left my hair feeling really strong and soft at the same time. I'm taking off one star because there is no way I can leave this on my hair for up to 1 hr like the directions says. It works fast on my 3c/4a hair so I don't think more than 10 minutes is needed.
